Todd McNemar

A resident of Winchester/Frederick County for over 52 years, Todd, and his wife Dee have been married for 35 years. Their two daughters, Emily and McKenzie, are both graduates of James Madison University and live in the area. Todd founded Apple Valley Volleyball Club in 2009 and remains as the Director and a Head coach. USAV Impact, CAP II, SafeSport certified.

Jerry Wampler

Jerry Wampler is the Vice President of Apple Valley Volleyball Club and the Head Clinican. He has been coaching youth sports for over 40 years, holding professional status in both golf and tennis. In volleyball, Jerry is certified in CAP I and CAP II USA coaching education, as well as, AAU's level 3 certification. He has been a head coach for Apple Valley's 14U and 17U teams for the past seven years. He has hosted volleyball camps and clinics for three years in the Winchester, Va area.

Emily McNemar

Emily McNemar is the Treasurer & Team Representative for AVVBC. Emily started her volleyball career in 2003 playing for 7 years throughout school, and 2 years for a local travel club. She is SafeSport, Impact and CAP I Certified. Emily has been with AVVBC for 5 years, coaching 13's, 15's and 16’s. She also manages all social media platforms for the club.

Holly Pennington

Holly Pennington is the administrative coordinator for Apple Valley Volleyball Club. She started her involvement with volleyball when her daughter began playing in 2015. She handles the day to day operations of the club, including website and team management, event flyers, uniforms, and more.

Sara Ponn

 Sara played four years of varisty volleyball at JWHS, where she lead the team as MVP and 1st team all-district in 2008. She went on to play two years of college volleyball at Hagerstown Community College as a setter/RS hitter. She continued her carrier two more years playing at Shepherd University (div II). Sara was the captain at Shepherd in 2012 and All-Tournament Team. Sara graduated with a degree in psychology. Her coaching career began in 2011 at Potomac Elite where she was head coach for their 14s team. She was the JV head coach at Clarke County High School for two seasons and JV head coach at Sherando for two. She has been with Apple Valley since 2014 as an assistant coach for our 17s team.  

Jen McCullough

Jen McCullough has coached middle school, high school, and club volleyball in Pennsylvania and Virginia for over 15 years and most recently is returning to travel with Apple Valley Volleyball.  Her first experience with club volleyball in Virginia came from coaching in the Select Division with NVVA and later directing a division of NVVA in Winchester known as NVVA Skyline.  During that time she was the head coach of the volleyball program at Millbrook High School, coached teams within her own club division, and attended clinics such as Gold Medal Squared,  Solopike and Sportsmetrics training.          

Tarah Wampler

Tarah started her volleyball career in 2006.  She played school ball for six years and travel for six years. Tarah played for NVVA, EPAN, Virginia Piedmont and Apple Valley travel teams over her career. She helped lead James Wood High School's varsity team as an Outside Hitter into the state competition in 2013. Tarah has been an assistant coach for AVVBC and the head coach for our 13s team. She is Safesport and Impact certified.  

James Minney

James Minney has had 10 Seasons as a High School Varsity coach and 3 Seasons of High School Junior Varsity. Prior to that he coached 9 Seasons of Middle School Boys/Girls 7th and/or 8th Grade. He has been with  Apple Valley for five years, coaching 12s, 13/14s, 15s, 16s teams. Minney is Gold Medal Square and Cap l certified.

Eric Heflin

Heflin started coaching at Frederick County Middle School in 2004. He stayed there until 2011 at which time he switched to Admiral Byrd Middle School and is still there. Heflin  coached at James Wood High School as the Freshman Coach in 2005. Staying at James wood for three years. He coached at Millbrook High School for two years starting 2010 as the Varsity Coach. Then went back to Millbrook after a two year break and is currently the assistant Varsity Coach. He has also coached one year with EPAN and has been coaching with Apple Valley since it opened in 2009.

Erica Scully

Erica has played volleyball for six years and has been coaching for three years. She has been an assistant coach for Sherando High School and Apple Valley. Erica is also a AVVBC Alum. She is USAV Impact and Safesport certified.

Kevin Orndorff

Kevin is an assistant coach for AVVBC. He is USAV Impact, Cap 1 and Safesport certified. He also played club volleyball at William and Mary for four years.
